Established in 1962, The Gay Hill, Mound Hill, Cedar Hill Volunteer Fire Department (GHVFD) strives to be a beacon of dedication and professionalism within our community. Our commitment to safety goes beyond just responding to Calls for Service, as we engage in public education and community outreach to keep our friendly part of Washington County safe.

As an all Volunteer department, the GHVFD relies mostly upon donations from our great community and those interested on seeing the department thrive and protect. We host two main fundraisers per year being our Fried Chicken fundraiser, and a Ladies Auxiliary Pork Steak meal, along with several community outreach events.  Located approximately 12 minutes outside of Brenham, the Fire Station hosts a rental hall for public rentals, a four-bay station for our growing fleet, and a meeting area. Meetings and trainings are first and third Tuesdays of each month starting at 7.
